After an eight-month hiatus, Sheamus made his much-anticipated return to the WWE on Friday's episode of SmackDown. However, fans were quick to notice that the "Celtic Warrior" had seemingly gained a significant amount of weight during his time away from the ring.
Sheamus is set to face Santos Escobar in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament on Monday Night Raw. However, his participation in the tournament is now in jeopardy as Sheamus is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury.
The injury is reportedly the same one that has kept Sheamus out of action since his match against Adam Copeland (Edge) at Money in the Bank in July 2022.
WWE has not yet announced a timeline for Sheamus' return, but it is expected that he will be out of action for several more weeks.
