Boston is an American rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1975 by guitarist Tom Scholz. The band experienced significant commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s, with their self-titled debut album (1976) becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time.

Boston's debut album, simply titled Boston, was released on August 25, 1976, by Epic Records. Produced by Scholz, the album featured the hit singles "More Than a Feeling" and "Peace of Mind." The album was a massive commercial success, selling over 17 million copies worldwide.
